A 56 year old male presents with a
history of feeling tired and sleepy all the time. He has problems at work due
to this and has been reprimanded on several occasions. He is known to have
mild hypertension and is on a thiazide diuretic. He smokes 10 cigarettes a day
and consumes 12 units of alcohol per week.
On examination he is obese and his
blood pressure is 140/90. Apart from this there are no abnormalities
detectable.

O2 8.4 kPa, bicarbonate 36 mmol/L
