A 24 year old female presents with a history of loss of weight and amenorrhoea. She has a normal appetite and dietary intake appears adequate. There is no significant past medical history and she was not on any medications.

On examination she looked underweight but apart from that there were no abnormalities detectable.

Hb 9.5 g/Dl

MCV 106 fl

WBC 4.3 x109/L

Platelets 140

Calcium 1.9 mmol /L

Phosphate 0.74 mmol/L

Alkaline phosphatase 320 U/L
