A 39
year old male comes to the clinic and says he has difficulty working. He is an
accountant and he says that he ie becoming increasingly forgetful and he is
also having difficulty in writing as he has developed involuntary movements of
his limbs. There are no past illnesses of note, he is not on any drugs , he
does not smoke but he consumes 20 units of alcohol per week .
There is no family history of note apart from his father having committed
suicide at the age of 42 years. He thought it was due to depression.
On
examination the only abnormality found is involuntary grimacing of his face
and writhing, dance like movements of his limbs.
