BOF: 2.93 A 30-year-old male has been investigated for weight loss and was found to have mediastinal lymphadenopathy. He had endoscopic ultrasound and biopsy of the lymph nodes and this showed caseating granulomas .A diagnosis of tuberculosis was made and the patient was started on isoniazid, rifampicin and pyrazinamide. He presents with breathlessness and has stridor. Your next course of action would be: a) Treat with steroids b) Add streptomycin to the above regime c) Tracheostomy d) Intubation and ventilation e) Mediastinoscopy and drainage |
